    My old Microsoft account was hacked and suspended, I made a new account and I'd like to use my old gamertag.

    Hi Griffen!

    Sorry to hear about what happened. If the account that was suspended is still somehow active from the system, you won't be able to use or take it. It could take some time before it will be made available - maybe when the account gets completely removed by the system.

    If it doesn't allow you to claim it on https://social.xbox.com/ChangeGamerTag, you may still get it but with suffix numbers as your identifier since there's already an account currently using the original one.

    I upgraded from a 360 to a one and started fresh with a new Gamertag. Is it possible to use my old Gamertag now? When I try to use my old one, I get told that its already in use on another account. I`ve searched the web and get told to go to Microsoft account,
    make a Temp new one then move one into the other. Confused!!
