Is it possible to get a person un communication banned after you've reported them?

During the day I was messing around with my friend and falsely reported a message he deleted with a very outlandish report reasoning and it resulted in him getting communication banned. I was wondering if xbox can potentially lift that suspension off of him. If it's a yes, Ill respond with his gamertag

They would have to go to http://enforcemnt.xbox.com to see about submitting a case review. There would be no way for you to have him unbanned.

OK, in the future if you get a rude message from someone, report them and then block them, job done. In doing that the other persons will likely get banned and you've won. If you "fight fire with fire" then all the person does is report you and you get
banned.

Report, block them, and don't communicate with them. Right now, from my perspective the only person in the wrong is you because you've received a communications ban.

If they were sending offending messages, the most they would receive is a communication ban, not a complete ban. Along with that, the only person that would know they were banned is them and them alone. Lastly, your reports may take a bit to deal with
because the enforcement team gets an influx of reports daily.

you might be able to get the ban reviewed via the case review process, However bans for communications are rarely changed, You would have been best reporting the other person and not replying to them as it does not matter who started the conversation first,
If you did not report them then they will not be reviewed for a ban.
