    Is it possible to disable the Microsoft Store in Windows via Microsoft Family Safety?


    I need to disable the Microsoft Store on a family computer that is AXM connected via Microsoft Family Safety.

    I am aware that i can do this directly on the particular computer via either Regedit or a Local Group Policy.

    Question: Is it possible to limit access to the Microsoft Store via the Microsoft Family Safety interface?

    Nope, unfortunately nope. You need to limit / restrict permission for the child account itself if you don't want to completely disable / uninstall the Microsoft store

    Without accessing to the computer (you can do it remotely with apps like TeamViewer, Any Desk, etc) nope
    The change needs to be done manually on the PC

    It sounds like the new laptop has been setup using a work or school account (i.e. Microsoft 365 Business). is this correct and did you mean to do this? If so, is it Windows 10 or Windows 11?

    If this were supposed to be for personal and business use, I would have initially set it up using a Microsoft account and added your business account afterwards. Then your son could have his own log-in details using Microsoft Family Safety, allowing you to manage restrictions etc.

    The Microsoft store will only sign-in using a Microsoft account (not a work or school account) so because you have setup the laptop with a business account, this may be blocked.
