Discus and support is it possible to connect a wireless xbox 360 controller to a xbox one wireless receiver? in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; so ive been looking for a way to connect my xbox 360 guitar controller to my pc so i can use it, but on accident i bought the xbox one wireless...     is it possible to connect a wireless xbox 360 controller to a xbox one wireless receiver?


    so ive been looking for a way to connect my xbox 360 guitar controller to my pc so i can use it, but on accident i bought the xbox one wireless receiver, are they compatible? i really hope so.

    Was it the official Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller? For the Xbox 360 wireless controller, an adapter is required. For Xbox One, the original Xbox One controller will only work when wired. For the One S controller, you can connect it via bluetooth.

    Hey jordysars,

    Unfortunately they use different drivers so no they are not compatible. The best thing to do is go back to point of purchase and see if they would exchange it

    I don't think it is possible to use the Xbox 360 wireless receiver with an Xbox One controller. If your PC has Bluetooth then it is possible to connect some Xbox One controllers to a PC this way.

    Hi,

    The Xbox 360 wireless protocol is not Bluetooth. This is why your 360 controller won't sync to your wireless receiver. PlayStation Dual Shock uses BT, the 360 does not. Only the Xbox One X controller can be connected via Bluetooth.

    If you want to use a wireless 360 controller you will need to buy the Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver. Don't buy the Xbox One receiver as it does not support 360 controllers either.

    The Wireless Optical receiver doesn't work with the Xbox 360 controller. The 360 uses it's own type of wireless protocol. To connect the controller you'll need a Xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver.

    Unfortunately unlike the Xbox One controllers, the wireless Xbox 360 controllers remain wireless regardless of whether you connect them to a PC with a Play and Charge. You can't make an Xbox 360 wireless controller a wired controller.

    If you want to use your 360 wireless controller on a PC you'll need to buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.

    That particular receiver is for use with Microsoft Wireless Keyboard and Mice. I'm afraid you wouldn't be able to connect an Xbox 360 Wireless controller with it. In order to connect a wireless controller you would need to purchase the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver
