is it possible to change an email that an xbox account was originaly created with?

i was wondering if i would be able to transfer an xbox account thats linked to a outlook account, and instead link it to another outlook account. if it were to be possible would i lose anything?

Nonsense! You can add and remove aliases to a Microsoft account and log in to your account with your new alias.

No but when the problem originaly occured i signed in using my original email and it created a new gamertag

That's not possible without having account access, you need to remember the email used to create the account to have access to it then you can change the email
