    I’ve had a lot of trouble with games ever since buying an Xbox series X and am unable to afford the 2TB expansion card and wouldn’t mind turning of smart delivery so that I can still play my games off of my external HD.

    Is it possible to bring an option to turn on and off smart delivery so that I can choose what version of a game I would like to install weather Xbox one edition or X|S?

    Surely if it’s possible to play the Xbox one version of BF2042, GTA V and F1 22, series X could download and play xbox one versions of every game if xbox allowed it by giving the option on turning off smart delivery?

    This last two CoD games use smart delivery but I'm able to choose between which one I install. BF 2042 is the same, smart delivery, but I can choose between the series version or the xbox one version. Why would that be changed for this game?

    Smart delivery removes freedom of choice and locks off content under the guise of 'The best experience'. Xbox assumes it's customers can't tell the difference between 2 versions of the same app and so actively makes content you have paid for unavailable on your console of choice.

    Imagine Steam stopped you from playing games in a resolution lower than 4k and locked off your library just because you have an RT graphics card.

    Why does Playstation let the customer choose, but Xbox treats us like morons?

    Games that use smart delivery do so because the versions are specifically tuned for the platforms.

    You can move games off the internal storage to your external to preserve them.

    I’m Anirban and I’ll be happy to help you.

    Well the games which use smart delivery as a feature will do so because they’re tuned for it in Xbox. Also I suggest you can move games to your any external HD.
