Is it possible that I could get my replacement controller and then send it back?

Did you ever get your controller back? I also have a custom controller but I am worried about sending it in for replacement in case I get a standard controller back rather than my customised version. These are very expensive but the wording about the replacement makes this sound like a basic controller replacement.

Also not able to get anywhere to contact Microsoft directly (only unhelpful articles and the replacement form). It says there is no chat or phone for this issue (UK based) but it could be as it is New Year's Day.

There always that possibility but the only problem is I don't have a spare controller. Would it be possible that my controller is under guarantee since I got it with the Xbox One and I could get it replaced?

There is a possibility you could repair it, but it will be far more efficient to send it in to get repairs or replaced

In order to speed up the return, they send you a different controller. So you can get back to gaming as quickly as possible, instead of having to wait for them to examine the controller, find the fault, repair it, put it all together and ship it back. They
just take a new or refurbished controller and immediately send it to you.

Therefore it's important you remove all parts from the Elite 2 controller (the sticks, paddles and D-Pad) when you send it in, as you might get a controller without these parts as replacement.

I did get a second controller when I got my console so at less I can play games. what is *** me off is then know it was a is user the could have at less point a note in box with the one they sent back to me say they will send me out a new Day One controller
as soon as the can work it out.

I'm with you on this, I would expect to get a replacement Day One controller too.
