Is it possible for xbox one to support internal storage more than 2 TB?

I have been trying to upgrade my Xbox One X to a 4TB SSD.

I moved all of my games to external storages before I started meddling with this to speed up the process and to keep them safe from corruption.

I have watched countless videos and read a ton of stuff, none of the information was updated or new though.

I have tried all of the following:

Tried cloning my original 1 TB HDD to the new 4 TB SSD while also trying to extend the content partition through Macrium Reflect software.

Resulted in an error code on my Xbox One X which was E102 00000002 78ED

Then I tried doing an offline system update (To the 4TB SSD8) , afterwards I removed my SSD from my xbox and inserted it back to my computer, made an exact image file of what was in the drive,

Then erased what was on the SSD disc - (Through Macrium) and made an exact copy of the image I just copied (From the 4 TB SSD after the offline update to the same 4TB SSD). Reassembled my console and I got the same error code again

I have also experimented trying to do it through other software like Paragon Partition Manager, Acronis, Windows Disk Management and others to no uveil.

I know that the XBOX one officially supports 500GB - 1 TB - 2 TB.

In my case if I don't find a solution I will keep this 4TB SSD in my xbox as a 1.6 TB (because that's how xbox one sees a 4TB Drive), wait till I can get a new 2 TB SSD insert that one on my XBOX, and buy a SATA 3 TO USB Enclosure for the 4 TB one, to use externally.

Anyone who has managed to make this work on their xbox one while upgrading to a LARGER than 2 TB SSD. Any information would be greatly appreciated, any working tutorials or guides, any updated videos would really help me settle this matter for good.

Hopefully a future XBOX OS Update could allow support for larger than 2 TB SSD's. Without the need of special programs.

    :)

    hard drive

the xbox one will supposedly support any external HDD of upto 2 - 3 TB in size later on when they add external storage support, and you will be able to use that drive like the internal one, but this we have to wait for, it may come in the first update or
it may not but it will come.

    XBOX ONE X

Yes, 1 TB is too small for a console intended for hardcore gamers. The One S was release with a 2 TB hard drive.
What's your definition of hardcore gamers? Is it those with 100+ games on Xbox One? If so, then 2TB would be too small as well!

Xbox One has External HDD Support! 1TB is fine! Be grateful it isn't just 500GB internal storage!

    Can't choose

put it this way both systems have there flaws, yes you can change the internal drive on the ps4 upto 2 tb and you cant on the x1 but soon it will support external support upto 3tb usb3.0 drives and you could use more than one drive obviously not at the same
time, which is good to keep a backup of all your games too. it is all personal preference and the main choice is yours, all we can say what updates may come out for storage but other than that, nothing else can be said.

    Storage issue

    Hello,

It’s most likely that your Xbox is attempting to install on your internal hard drive instead of your external 2 TB hard drive. To fix this, do the following on your xbox.

Settings>Storage>Select Your 2 TB drive>Install here by default

After you do this, any game you install will automatically install to the 2 TB hard drive. If this helped, please vote that is was!

    Good luck and happy gaming!
