If you are not able to sign into your account due to you not knowing the sign-in information and security information for your account, you will need to complete the account recovery form here: Account recovery form

Please make sure you include as much information as possible when completing the form. This will allow the Microsoft account team to review what has been entered and allow them to verify you are the account owner. WELL IF THE GAMERTAG IS ALREADY IN USE BY SOMEONE THEN U CANT TAKE IT BUT IF ITS NOT BEEN USED OR ACTIVE FOR SO LONG THEN I THINK YOU CAN CLAIM THE SAME.

Of course you can use Ni-Mh batteries. advantage: no memory-effect but in return the ni-mh can get the lazy-effect. In my opinion I recommend the eneloops batteries. Otherwise use the original play & charge kit.

Unfortunately nothing can be done about thay at the moment but soon Microsoft will be deleting accounts that haven't been active in 2 years so you may get the chance to claim one of those gamertags in the future.

It is possible that this gamertag is tied to another Microsoft account that is not active on Xbox Live or the gamertag is one that had been withheld by Microsoft for another reason and this will prevent you from being to claim the gamertag.
