But as ngocphi said, that is on hold at least until the next console releases.

I believe the issue maybe be related to the game of the edition not being a backwards compatible title. The games that are backwards compatible can be very specific based on the standard version or some other edition. One way to make sure an edition is backwards
compatible is either it will clearly state it on the backwards compatible list found online or on Major Nelson's blog, or if you find the edition on the Xbox 360 marketplace and I can't find Red Dead Redemption game of the year edition on either the list or
the marketplace. The standard version of Red Dead Redemption is what is listed on the marketplace and the full list of available backwards compatible games.
