Is it possible 100hz comes to XboxOne, and or fix 1440p VRR

I see a few issues that have arisen from offering VRR ala FreeSync2 @1440p - where as the display is not recognized via autodetect.

Problem: When selecting Video Output, and Auto Detect - only 1080p and 720p is seen as an option, and VRR is able to be checked. To use 1440p the user has to select manual, and choose connection type (HDMI). 1440p then becomes available
    - but only with no VRR, and 60 or 120hz.

    Solution: Add a few more*refresh rates, 60hz 75hz, 100hz, 120hz,
144hz etc, and or fix in firmware to ignore some non standard aspect ration resolutions and let the users monitor dictate the scaling.

    :)

Samsung HG40EA790MS: FreeSync issue on Samsung Q7FN TV

    Hey Paul!

Not a resolution problem but a VRR/FreeSync issue. The XboxOneX detects my TV and enables Automatic Game mode and VRR/FreeSync. But I'm seeing these rolling bars. I can turn off VRR/FreeSync on both 1440p@120Hz and 4K@60Hz and the problem is gone.

So it's a VRR/FreeSync issue. I'm seeing on YouTube others demonstrating this new TV with these gaming features with XboxOneX and all of them have rolling bars. Some say they cant see it and that it can only bee seen when watching a recording because of
the refresh rate. But I can clearly see it.

So either I have some super eyes. Or there's something wrong somewhere or others claiming they cant see it haven't noticed it yet. An example of that is clouding on LCD TV's. People I know dont know what that is until I explain it and show it on their TV's.
Then they see it all the time suddenly....

Is it possible 100hz comes to XboxOne, and or fix 1440p VRR

Actually Xbox one X has 120Hz support for games and apps in 1080p. Other formats may be related to performance/HW limitations.

    Xbox one s 1440p 120hz problems

I have tried turning freesync off on the monitor side and vrr off on the xbox, still doesn’t allow me to select 1440p@ 120hz.
I'm not surprised it's not working.

"When connected via DisplayPort, the 32GK650F has an excellent VRR range, but unfortunately, it has a limited range over HDMI, and FreeSync only works up to 100Hz."

    Sorry about that.

VRR not working if I switch to 1440p

You should call LG support and verify it supports VRR at 1440p on Xbox.

It's quite possible the electronics inside are not able to keep up with that resolution. The manual isn't clear on VRR abilities.

    1440p@ 120 hz issue xbox series x

    Hi,

I have the same monitor which I use on my PC and my Xbox Series S.

This monitor only reaches full potential on a PC via display port. The 120Hz timing on HDMI doesn't conform to the VESA standard, also FreeSync variable refresh tops out at 100Hz via HDMI. No problem for a PC, big issue for consoles.

No way to fix it. It's either 1080P @120 or 1440P @60. Make sure you enable VRR.
