Is it normal for series x fan to stutter when turning on console?

Don't worry, that behavior is completely normal, and on some occasions, my Xbox Series X and even the processor fan in my PC exhibit the same behavior. It's just the fan being initialized. If the fan operates normally the rest of the time, then there's no issue.

The Series S, just like the Series X is designed to be quite, in normal gaming (even when play X|S optimised games) the Series S fan should not be audible. It should be pretty much silent.

Have you changed the location of where your console is located? These consoles get warm (hot even), this is normal. So their location is actually more important than hearing the fan spinning.

when I start up my console the fan makes a horrible sound like the fan is being jerked back then it quickly jerks forward then kicks in as normal i did hear that everyone had this problem and it was going to get some kind of patch just wondering if anyone else hears/has the same thing happen when they turn there console on only happens when booting up.just wondering if this is part of the problem or if it's just something that happens to everyone when booting the console up

That is not a 'known issue'. The Series X console should not be loud, not in the dashboard or when playing games. And my Series X console doesn't make a horrible sound when I turn it on.

Your console has a hardware fault that can't be fixed by a software patch. You'll need to get it replaced.
