    Is Energy Saving Standby broken on Series X?


    Is any other Alpha Skip Ahead tester having issues with Energy Saving Power Mode?

    Mine seems to be behaving as if Instant On is set but the settings say Energy Saving

    My games, apps and OS are updating whilst in standby also my media remote can turn on the series x via IR and the initial xbox logo screen/animation does not appear

    I'm running the latest Alpha Skip Ahead release of the dashboard, I have reported this potential bug via the xbox insider hub app

    If the energy mode selected is Instant-on, it's normal to see the Standby on message

    My Series X is turned off as well. (And my energy mode is Instant on)

    So, you're good to go

    Go to xbox/settings/on/off settings,energy saving.

    As long as you have "standby" your saves are in danger!

    I think this is toggled in "Settings" from the videos I have seen. If you go to the power settings, you can either choose to have the standby mode, or energy-saving mode. Energy saving allows the console to completely turn off and consumes about .3 watts,
    while standby uses about 17-18 watts.

    You have to change the power settings to energy saving if you don't want it to go into standby mode

    External hard drive don't turn off

    Apartment power cycle with standby mode and back to energy saving worked. Thank you for your help, I hope it will work in the long term !
