Is (425) 635-2970 Xbox Suppport?

Hello, today while trying to contact Xbox Support, I was brought to " https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us ". On this site, I clicked "Contact Us", then "Get help canceling a subscription or turning off recurring billing". I then was brought to a pop-up window where I was asked automated questions by an AI "virtual agent". After I went through all the questions (which seemed normal/professional) I was prompted with a few options. Of those options, I chose to make a phone call with a human. I put in my phone number and received a call about 15 seconds later from "(425) 635-2970". I was instantly alarmed by their unusual accent but proceeded to explain the situation. They came up with a dumb excuse for me to call them back later. Once the call was ended I tried researching the phone number. I've seen one post saying the phone number was probably a scam, but just wanted to make sure. I would also like to know how an official Microsoft website led to a potential scam call? Also, how am I able to get into contact with the actual Microsoft support

This is a legit Microsoft call back number, but please know that your caller ID is not a reliable way to know whether someone is a scammer or not. As caller ID can be spoofed. However your report is consistent with my experience with Microsoft support, so I would say it’s a legitimate callback, especially when it happened within seconds.

Again, yes, you're fine. Your address would already be on file as well if you made any purchases, but typically they'd only ask for that information if you're having a billing issues. Password is usually the biggest red flag because they do not keep that on file and no one else should know your password.

Oh okay thank you so much I appreciate it you really helped me with my anxiety. So now I know it’s normal for them to ask me for my gamertag or my email and if they ask for my password or personal info like address then I know it’s a scam. So they just ask me for my gamertag and they already had my number since I requested a call so I’m fine right ? Thank you

That would have been a legitimate call so you'll be fine. If it hadn't been, they would have asked questions support wouldn't normally ask (like log in and password) or asking to connect to your computer.
