IPSec VPN can't connect after installing XBOX Game Pass Desktop on Windows 10

I found an annoying bug. When I install the XBOX Game Pass Desktop app, my IPSec VPN connection is no longer able to connect. I checked it with uninstall and install again. Strange!

Why XBOX Game Pass app is doing anything with the VPN connection?

Since I need the VPN connection for my work, I need to remove the Desktop app.

Anybody else had similar issues? Or anybody knows, how to fix it?

Ok, it seems I narrowed it down to the Windows service "Xbox Live Networking Service".

When it's running, VPN is not working. If I stop it, VPN is working again. Unfortunately, XBOX Gamepass Beta app will restart it, when ever it need it.

Hello,

In the FW, XBOX Beta is just registering an Any type of port. So, it doesn't show, what port is used. Maybe, I need WireShark to find it out.

To be honest, I'm not that motivated, to go that deep.

The VPN used, is L2TP, so it need TCP 1701 AFAIK, but for sure some UDP as well.

So this will not solve the issue I think.

Try See in Firewall if the Both App are using the same Tcp/Udp Port

Yes, I did that. Set the service to disabled and only enable it, when I would like to use XBOX Game pass or play games from it.

I hope, there will be a development solution as well.
