soft factory reset if you haven't already. It's the one denoted reset and keep my games & apps and is a great troubleshooting step for a variety issues.

I've changed it back and did a hard reset but the problem still occurs

Dont circumvent your parents wishes and things like this would not happen, changing your mac can have effects, depends if the router likes it or not, besides some router use ip address of the device to lockdown and not specifically mac.

I would try changing your mac address back and seeing if that fixes the issue. I would say it more then likely will.

The router doesn't block using ip I've checked. Are you suggesting I change the mac address back to automatic and it'll work better though. There's reasons for my noncompliance with my father but i'm 17 it's to be expected.
