internet connection/sign in failure and freezing

Game freezing is a sign of system failure

yeah the problem seems to be connecting to the internet in general, any internet connection seems to freeze it. on the sign in screen i decided to not log into anything, and click B and it still froze. only time it didnt was when i had internet completely
removed from it

"Internet Error" message?

If so, you may want to contact the administrator of your network and request that your Xbox console be added to the network filter. When you ask the admin to add your console to a filter, you must have your console's IP address and MAC address available. To
find the IP address and MAC address for your Xbox console, follow these steps:

1. Press the Guide button on your controller, and go to Settings.
2. Select System Settings.
3. Select Network Settings.
4. Select Wired Network, or the name of your Wireless Network.
5. Select Configure Network.
6. Document the IP Address.
7. Select Additional Settings.
8. Select Advanced Options.
9. Document the MAC Address.

Once you have this information, contact your admin. If the admin is unable or unwilling to add your console to the network filter, you will not be able to connect to Xbox Live on that network.

i'd like add that the programs i mention were microsoft windows media center--i see it on my ps3, if that helps.
