Intermittent network quality on wireless & disconnection on Cabled

Hello Community,

I am having issues with my streaming that I am hoping you can help me with.

Firstly, Wireless. I have the Virgin Media home hub. My Wireless connection is stable yet when I stream my Xbox one (which is wired directly to the router) i get intermittent network quality issues. Maybe every 30~ seconds the picture lags for a couple of
seconds and then continues as normal. No matter what quality i put the streaming on i get the exact same issue. I have tried sitting next to the router, changing the channel of the wireless etc. Nothing is fixing it.

I then decided to wire in my laptop to the router to eliminate this problem however I am now getting an error which kicks me off streaming and says that there was an error connecting to my xbox one.

Any help on this would be really appreciated.

Have you tried moving the location of your router,so many things can interfere with the wireless signal,it could be anything electrical in your house or outside of your house that you've now come in range of,I have to use a cabled connection as I suffer
from intermittent interference from an unknown location,upstairs I use plug in broadband extenders,so I can still get the benefits of cabled connection anywhere in the house near a power outlet
