Intermittent Fault with Xbox One Kinect - Turns on and off randomly

i have a problem with my Xbox One Kinect sensor where it randomly turns off and on and appears to reboot when in the middle of a game.

im fairly sure it's since the last big dashboard update, has anybody else had this problem?

Ive contacted Microsoft Support where the advisor totally understood the problem as he himself has a similar issue since the last update, however because my pathetic one year warranty has expired it will cost me £80 to get the sensor repaired, and then I
will only get a 3 month warranty.

i think this is a terrible service from such an enormous company.

Kinect Randomly turns on and off

My Kinect doesn't always turn on at start up and sometimes (almost every time) randomly turns on and off by itself.

Any ideas how can i fix this?

There doesn't seem to be a hardware issue, and the console is plugged directly in to the wall (as this was previously suggested as a reason for this issue).

It has also been suggested to do a power cycle and reboot but this doesn't fix the issue and kind of ignores the problem when i should be able to turn my Xbox one on via voice command.

Please help.

 

I was having the same problem but after a hard reset it seem ok now
