Interesting News For Digital Upgrades

Bungie released a statement that they will allow people who purchase Destiny on the 360 to upgrade their purchase to the Xbox One for free until January 15, 2015. From the webpage, it includes the Extension Pass as well. A nice feature for those willing
to purchase a digital version.

Destiny's site only mentions the upgrade being available for digital -

The upgrade offers are made available by the publisher. The websites usually list which retailers are also participating in the offer. You may have to contact Bungie to see if there is an upgrade version for the disc.

i saw...but how the hell do you pre-order the digital 360 version? the only place i see for digital 360 is gamestop.com. is it not going to be available at xbox.com or the console itself? seems kinda dumb if it isn't.

 

I believe that is the drawback; you have to forfeit the pre-order Vanguard bonus. I have the Limited Edition reserved for the Xbox One and would have happily changed it to the Digital Guardian on 360 if it had all of the pre-order content available.

 

Same boat, the lack of pre-order content and no digital guardian edition for 360 that I've seen kept me from changing it(well that and I'd probably never play the 360 version anyway but free is free).

 

Do we have to purchase the upgrade before the 15th of january or if you purchase the digital version on 360 before the 15th of january you will have the game on xbox one... when times come ?
