interesting article about destiny

I read the article yesterday and I understand what they're getting at. Some aspects of the game are irritating and some are great. Whether I agree with it or not, I still can't seem to stop playing the game though.

As opposed to the industry crashing, I'd like to see a revolution for gaming. I'm sure I'm in the minority on this view-point, but with how watered down FPS games have become, I feel we are (or need to be) on the verge of a shift in how we play.

I believe you're going to see a big shift coming soon. Lets take CODG the campaign story sucked, as well as that game play there were a few story brakes where I didn't know where the story was headed it seem choppy to me. When I went into the multiplayer
nothing changed hackers a bunch and spawn killers like thunder it was a good thing I rented the game and not place my money on another losing horse again. This wasn't the only new game I played same is told for ACBF another weak games and silly game play.
BUT the only game that showed promised was BF4. I guess what I am saying is the gaming industry is falling short of good old storyline game tell that drives the purchase of its games. I know there are a very small percentage who buys games only for MP gaming
and I believe the industry needs to make the shift. I believe the gaming industry will do one of two things start making only MP game and watch the profits drop or bring back good written storylines into their campaigns or this industry will collapse within
the next five years.

I didn't have a chance to read all of it, but I did look at the numbered titles. When I read number 4 & 5, I immediately thought of Kingdoms of Amular. If you're not familiar with it, Curt Schilling - a former MLB player, wanted to make a game and started
up a studio. He actually cared and wanted to make a good game. The studio went bankrupt and shut down. A freakin' former MLB player with money and heart and desire can't even make an innovative successful game without loosing money.
