    Instant-on bug still there after two updates?


    This must be aware to Microsoft, because many users must have this problem. A few months ago, after some update Instant-on became buggy. I was only enabling when playing a game on my X1X and deactivated it when playing on PS4, because then the XBox had a
    pause.

    But when instant-on was activated and the XBox was in standby, it wouldn‘t wake up when pressing the Home button on the controller. You would then have to start using the button on the Xbox front and it would boot normally with the game not in memory anymore.
    Back then I searched the Xbox support forums to find other users having the same problem. We could only wait for it to be fixed in the next update, but to no avail. It wasn‘t fixed. Now I‘m playing with my X1X again when another system update came a few days
    ago just to see that the problem still remains after two updates!

    But now, after the last system update it‘s even worse. When putting the X1X to sleep (instant on) it wouldn‘t tell the controller to also switch off.

    Microsoft, please fix that finally! I don‘t want to wait every time for my console to boot, as it takes ages for an XBox to boot, compared to a Windows PC.

    I'm sorry to hear the instant-on mode is not working as intended. I believe factory resetting your Xbox will be the best thing to try right now and make sure to select keep my games and apps:

    That makes sense, but didn't they say that if you have your X1 in "instant on" mode, that it would automatically reboot and go back into instant on? Unless maybe it's a bug that it updates and doesn't go back into instant on.

    For me it doesn't happen often enough to frustrate me, and for now I'm just considering a bug that I hope will be fixed in time.

    Give it a day or two for them to resolve the issue, but if you're still not able to sign up after that, your best bet would be to PM Miss Ermine to get an update.
