Installing Titanfall on Xbox 360

I've tried all evening to install Titanfall on an Xbox 360 but it won't; I'm not even getting an option to install it. Of course the 'customer service' from EA is terrible. Anyone else have this and is there a remedy? I've tried turning the console off/on;
removing/reinserting the disc; leaving the 'your games' section with the 'game details' open for about 20 minutes to see if it would pop up--NOTHING. I check and the update downloaded and installed. I have over 20 gigs of space so it is not a storage issue.

Free TitanFall?

I just traded in my Xbox 360, along with TitanFall for 360, in for an Xbox One.

I set everything up and it asked me if I wanted to install TitanFall. So I clicked yes. Its now Installing on my system.

Did I just get it free for having it for Xbox 360?

So after the latest try, with no success I uninstalled titanfall, now I am reinstalling and I have 2 tiles on the dashboard both titanfall, both installing at the same rate one with a disc symbol one without. On the manage game screen it says I'm installing
"uninstall" titanfall. This is a first for me. So any guidance would be great

 

Are you using an official Xbox Hard Drive? If not or you're using a flash drive for storage then perhaps that would be your issue. Some games do require an official hard drive to install.

 

it will only play from the disc…. no install available for hard drive. good luck

 

same problem mine says the download to hard drive failed. I cant get to start screen

 

Here's a technical explanation. Bluepoint Games president Andy O'Neill says:

"For the technically minded, we stream medium-resolution textures from the HDD, which has the best seek time and can load textures quickly. The top texture mips are streamed from the DVD with some additional compression for throughput. Also, having the top
mips on the DVD avoids us having to copy them to the cache partition, which is good because we're pretty tight on space there!

This is why there's no Games on Demand download available as we didn't want fob people off with an inferior experience. Similar deal for 4GB Arcade kits and USB sticks, flash devices have much better seek times than a DVD, but the throughput is lower. For
lot of games, the seek time dominates loading, but on Titanfall 360, we worked really hard to optimize loading for DVD/HDD, and running off flash just didn't give the same performance.

So, we copy the texture-streaming data to the Xbox 360 cache partition, which is located on the fastest, outside part of the drive. I'm pretty sure this is what Halo is doing when it's showing the pretty particle effects before you start a new level. Also,
using the cache partition guarantees that the installed files aren't fragmented, giving really consistent streaming performance. I tested it at home on an original 20GB HDD that I've had since 2005 and never re-formatted, it works great!

I think people are used to installing games because generally they load faster from HDD, but in our case it just increases load times and degrades streaming performance."

 

I was going to say, has anyone even noticed that there isn't an install button? Its just one of those games that you can't install. Get over it and quit trying to find a solution to something that wasn't programmed in in the first place.. Not to be rude.
Some games just dont have that option.

 

i only want to install the game in case it gets scratched!
