    Installing The Awakening (Black Ops 3)


    A lot of people are struggling with the way Treyarch have handled the new way of downloading Map Packs and DLC.

    The way it works is like this: During the March update, Treyarch INSTALLED the Map Pack on your Xbox One ready, then when it gets released, you are actually downloading the licence key plus updates (around 9GB total)

    So I've found this post, to help you get access to the MP (as it isn't initially easy to find!)

    To access the Awakening DLC pack for the first time, launch Call of Duty: Black Ops III and allow any game update to download and install as normal. Once updates are fully downloaded and installed, simply download the Awakening DLC pack activation key through
    the in-game store.

    1. Select Store from the main menu.
    2. Select Map Packs.
    3. Select Awakening DLC to activate the DLC pack.
    Once Awakening is activated, players have immediate access to the four new multiplayer maps as well as the first chapter of the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies adventure.

    I bought the awakening DLC for Black Ops 3, but when I try to install it, he does not do anything, I can not play Black Ops 3, and in the store, he says I've installed it,

    i’m trying to install black ops 3 but it keeps dropping and when it does install i’m stuck on version 100.0.0.12.0.0 and it’s not updating please help i’ve tried everything

    Do you have Black Ops 3 installed on an external drive?

    Hi preyforyou123!

    You need to do this through Black Ops 3 and not the Xbox Store. It wont show in the store if you have the season pass or not. You need to boot up Black Ops 3 and go into the store through that.

    Alternatively, if you go to Manage Game on Black Ops 3 - Click your Ready to Install - You should find it there to download too.

    Hey Dutchy!

    Have you checked Black Ops 3's "Ready to Install" section to see if the DLC is listed there? Also when you say you "cannot play Black Ops 3", what exactly happens when you load up the game? Does it crash? Does it freeze? Do you get an error message or code
    (XBOS-0000 or 0x00000000) that you can provide to us?

    A couple things you can try in the mean time are
    power cycling     your Xbox One console and
    reinstalling     your game fully. Those two steps can often resolve a lot of issues that happen with games.
