    Installing new HD after leaving Insider Program


    I am unable to install a new hard drive after leaving the insider program. The original HD will boot up to 10.0.19041.4162.

    Putting in the new HD blank formatted NTFS it will fail on installing an OSU or trying to reset. OS version on Xbox Startup Troubleshooter is showing 19041.3773.amd64fre.vb_release_xbox_dev_2008.200819-0000.



    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    G'day,

    Are you in the Insiders preview program?

    If you are, OSU's (offline system updates) should NOT be used unless you first leave the program. Leaving the program usually entails doing a factory refresh which will install the latest General Public release.

    Please try leaving the program first and go back to an stable Windows build

    I saw a user having this issue with his Minecraft on Xbox and it was being caused by being on the Xbox Insiders program.

    Are you on the Xbox Insiders right now? If you are, please try to leave the Insiders Program and install Minecraft again. After that, you can enter the Xbox Insiders again.

    Go inside the Insider Hub app on your Xbox. Leave all programs including system updates, and beta tests. You should be fine after that.
