    Installing games from xbox app


    Hi,

    the problem is that I can't install games from xbox app on g: drive.

    In my system I have c: drive witch contains system and some programs, e: drive where i have all my files, music, videos and finally g: drive which I use only to install games on. It is a 2TB nvme ssd by the way.

    I can install anything from my games library on c or e but xbox app refuses to install anything on my gaming g: drive.

    It only says that something went wrong and error code: 0x800070005.

    I have probably tried all solutions I could find on internet but nothing helped. And yes I refuse to reinstall windows just to try if it works.

    GOG or Steam or Epic does not have such issues...

    Sugestions?

    Yes it is still available. If you are trying to install the game on PC, then you need the Xbox app and the Ubisoft Connect PC app installed as well from the Ubisoft website.

    Just search for it on the app, then select it to install, and will install from the Ubisoft Connect app for you.

    Do you have the EA Play app installed on your PC, and the extension turned on, in the Xbox app settings? Make sure you have these, otherwise, you won't be able to download and install the games from EA Play. Same also applies for Ubisoft games too. You need the Ubisoft Connect app installed to install any Ubisoft game from the Xbox app.

    And, when you say "I can install games now, but I still cannot see any of the games"

    This is via Xbox app? Or are you installing the games from the Microsoft Store?

    if you had games listed in companion app they then you either streamed from an xbox or they were installed via the windows store, if the game is not listed in the xbox app then download from the windows store.

    you can install the companion app from the windows store too.

    The Microsoft Store only provides an "Install from Xbox App" button for Xbox Game Pass games instead of a download option, which then opens a game's install page in the Xbox App.
