    Hi guys so I just brought a ton of 360 and one games most are backwards compatible to play on my series x

    my question is I noted with 360 ones you just need to put the disk in start the install then you can remove the disk and it installs no issue can I do the same with the Xbox one versions or do I need to leave the disk in the whole time during the install

    Is it possible to transfer DLC games from 360 to one?

    If the games are backwards compatible, they will show as "Ready to Install" in your Games and Apps. If they are not backwards compatible, then you cannot transfer them to the One. You can see a list of backward compatible games here -

    The game is not backwards compatible yet. Once it becomes backwards compatible, it'll show in your "Ready to Install" list.

    Just make sure that your console is connected to Xbox Live when you are trying to install a backwards compatible game, even from disc, as all backwards compatible games need to be downloaded, not installed from disc.

    Also it is up to the developers of games to decide if a particular title is made Backwards compatible or not, feel free to reach out to them and ask about making their game(s) backwards compatible too.
