Installing a game on both external and internal HDD causes bugs?

Hello,

Unsure if this is related to the game developer and/or its both xbox and game dev.

In this game called "state of decay 2" I had the game installed on both - which caused a lot of bugs with the game (like the ability to walk through cars when you shouldn't be able too)

With that in mind, does anyone know whether this would affect any/all games or the functionality of the xbox one s?

It will in general cause issues be it with the console itself or in game issues.

Although this is off topic and more towards my personal storage preference, I have 3 xbox's and 3 houses and I use an external hdd to carry around all my games without having to re-download them again.

Also my old xbox only has 500GB storage space - which is a pathetic amount considering GTA5 and many other big time games exceeds 80GB (why is xbox still creating 500GB HDD consoles?)

Thirdly, unsure if this is the same but for PC - games run better off of a "SATA" connection as opposed to "USB" unless it's Type-C, USB 3.1 (gen2) or otherwise known as Thunderbolt 3.

Therefore my most played games sit on my internal drive.

Why have it installed on your external & internal? You only need 1 copy of the game to run. Also are you sure this is whats causing the bugs in game? Uninstall one or the other & then load the game up to see if the bugs are still taking place.

well the thing is, it may be the cause but there shouldn't be any problem, i thing it depends on how old is your console

Thanks for coming to the forums. This shouldn't be the case with all games. This is a rare issue/bug. As currently have multiple games on an internal and external HD.
