    Hallo,

    ich habe meine alte Festplatte in einem neuen PC verbaut und würde meine Spiele aus dem Xbox Game Pass für den PC gern wieder auf besagter Festplatte installieren - was leider absolut nicht funktionieren möchte.

    Wenn ich in der Xbox (beta) App versuche, die Platte als neuen Speicherort festzulegen, weigert er sich, weil dort "Apps von einem anderen Gerät" installiert sind. Die dann mithilfe der aufploppenden Fehlermeldung zu löschen, funktioniert nicht (Fehlercode
    0x80070005).

    Manuell löschen möchte auch nicht recht funktionieren. In den WindowsApps-Ordner bin ich noch gekommen, für das Löschen der Dateien darin fehlt mir aber eine Berechtigung (von "SYSTEM"), von der ich nicht weiß, wie ich sie bekomme.

    Wie bitte kriege ich nun meine Spiele installiert, bzw. die alten gelöscht, damit die App sich nicht länger weigert, sie dort zu installieren?

    Edit: Ich bin an dem Punkt, an dem ich den Kram wirklich einfach nur noch gelöscht haben möchte. Neu formatieren kommt eigentlich nicht in Frage.

    Den Game Pass werde ich definitiv deabonnieren, bevor ich mir damit noch eine Festplatte versaue, weil sich darauf nicht-löschbare Dateien befinden.

    Edit: I'm at the point where I really just want to have the stuff deleted. Reformat is not an option.

    I will definitely subscribe to the Game Pass before I mess up a hard drive with it because there are non-erasable files on it.]

    Thanks for the reply. This is a difficult one as the old hard drive has files from the entire system of the old PC. This could mean the error is system files, game files or any other ones. The game pass folder are not accessible as they are for games you
    technically do not own. As you get them through game pass. Is the old hard drive a secondary one or the primary? As the best thing would be to reformat the drive so it would match the new PC.

    Since you have gamepass and if the games are still on gamepass just go download them again.
    That's exactly what I want to do.

    I can't download them, though, because I installed my old hard drive in a new computer. The app keeps telling me I can't install the games on the old drive, because data from another device is still installed, but I also can't uninstall the old data.

    It's not the primary hard drive, but I really don't want to reformat it as it has almost 2 TB of data on it (games, work files... - and everything except for these games works perfectly fine). I'd have to buy another external hard drive just to save my files.

    Is it not possible to simply delete these files? By letting the Xbox app manually detect it or anything like that?

    Since you have gamepass and if the games are still on gamepass just go download them again.
