Installation stops on all games. Owned.

I posted the other day and cant find the thread.

I tried to install a gift from Canada. Im in the US. Its paid for.

Wouldnt install.

Tried to install a free game off pass.

Wouldn't install.

They all start but stop almost immediately.

Just started this about a week ago. Maybe less. Im afraid to reset. At least I can still play the games installed.

Hi MassettiBrothers, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console? If yes, please unplug the hard drive and then perform a power cycle before attempting to install a game again, keep the hard drive unplugged.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If you don't have an external hard drive we may need to reset the console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Hi- we did all the steps as indicated. Downloaded and installed another app successfully. Tried Disney+ again, it said we already owned it, then stopped on the installation. Message came up on screen saying "Installation stopped."

Any thoughts?

I've also got the Huawei router and Three UK broadband, been having this problem for a while, so I've always done a factory reset (including games).

Hopefully this is a fix!

Well done. I gave up on love chat after they asked me to repeat the same things I’d already done multiple times yet again.

Hopefully someone will get a better solution. In a world of constant game updates it’s a rather big faff switching it all around.

The fact we’ve gone through these steps and are posting on here means we’re some of the more technology confident ones. Imagine how many other are out there wondering what the hell is wrong with their xboxes.

Yeah same here managed to download all apps apart from 5 on demand. Ill try to download Minecraft now.
