Installation stopped when transferring between external hard drives

Thanks for getting back to me! No joy with any of your suggestions. My only option was to uninstall on old drive/reinstall to the new drive. Thankfully we have an unlimited Internet connection!

I found myself in the same situation,

and I noticed that only games that I don’t own digitally won’t transfer, so i had to insert the disc for each game.

We understand that you're having trouble transferring your Xbox games to the new external hard drive.



So based on the detailed description you have provided above please try the following steps at this point to resolve this issue:



1. Try transferring the games one at a time instead of all at once. This may help identify if there's a specific game causing the issue.

2. Check the storage space on the new external hard drive. Make sure there's enough space to accommodate all the games you're trying to transfer. On that note make sure it's used exclusively for the games and not as storage space for back-ups of your other devices.



3. Try a different USB port on and see if that helps.

The external hard drive was around 20% full. After the I formatted the external hard drive it went down to 0% as everything was uninstalled. Thing is i tried transfering Battlefield 1 from the internal hard drive to the now empty external hard drive and
it started transferring. Battlefield 1 was one of the games that just stopped installing/transferring when i wanted to move from the internal to the external hard drive so i might of fixed the problem. Now i am just concerned that the games that were uninstalled
will not have anyting saved and i will have lost everything.
