"Installation stopped" on digital purchases?

    "Installation stopped" on digital purchases?


    Hi all,

    Never had this happen before, the last 3 digital purchases I have made download and then at the end just say "installation stopped". Anyone know what is causing this, did it happen to anybody else.....I tried everything, power cycle, deleting/reinstalling
    games, no luck. Thanks.

    FunkayFooj, since you have the preview dashboard, you'll want to have your brother report the issue via the preview app on the console, or in the preview forums (forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx).
    If you get a message that says Group Not Found, have him create a post here requesting access:

    forums.xbox.com/.../4268.aspx

    Also, it sounds like your issue is different, because you are installing from a disc. Usually, turning the Xbox off by holding the Xbox logo on the front until it fully shuts down and unplugging the power cord from the back for 5 minutes will help this.
    I always choose Update Later when prompted, because it makes the game install faster.

    Even if it works after that, you'll still want to have him report it so the preview team is aware of the issue.

    Hey I'm not sure if it'll help, but some people fixed a similar issue by changing their DNS server, which as far as I know isn't listed anywhere on Microsoft's troubleshooting, so it's worth a shot:

    The "installation stopped' error means it's a corrupted download or the discs are scratched or damaged. You may have to purchase new ones or go digital.

    When you purchase digital games the store will automatically try to install the game on the console you made the purchase for. If you do a quick Bing search for "xbox one stop auto downloads" you will find a bunch of links for a solution to stop this from
    happening in the future.
