Sorry to hear that you're still experiencing issues with certain games.

I would suggest that if the previously posted steps didn't resolve the problem the next best general troubleshooting that you can try is a soft reset.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games
&
apps.

If that does not work then it would strongly suggest that there is something up with your console's hardware. If you are interested in getting that repaired, you can always visit our

Thanks for the reply and for keeping us updated. In relation to the replacement consoles that are sent out, the refurbishment process is simply a recycled shell (the outer covering) and brand new inner components, which means that you wouldn't receive any
used hard drives in a replacement console, but brand new parts inside.

If you do decide to reconsider and send in your console, you may do so from Device service and repair or by requesting a call back from Xbox Support.

Thanks for replying with an update. If you've already fully reset your Xbox console and tried to get the disc to install again, but are still experiencing issues with the disc drive, then you should definitely follow through with your service order and send
in the console. The Service Center will also fully reset the Xbox once they receive it and then test it thoroughly to ensure that it gets repaired. If they're unable to repair it, they will replace it with a working console.

I cancelled the repair order.

First of all, most games will install without problems as long as I am offline.

Next to that I don't want to miss the Beta weekend of the division 2.

And also I really mind getting a replacement Xbox, because mine is practically new and when I get a refurbished one, there's no telling how much, for example, the harddisk, was stressed by the previous owner.

As long as I get the games running I want to play, this is ok with me.

So I'll keep testing it (warranty until the end of 2020) and when its really becoming a problem I will return it for repair.

Here I am again.

I really need help with this, I already made a return ticket but I am having serious doubts about sending it your way.

Here's why:

I hard reset my xbox (before sending it away) but I thought, just let me try it once again;

I sincerely think the disc drive is way to sensitive. Because most very clean and new discs WILL install, maybe with only one hiccup (so I dismount the disc and put it back in and it will return to install).

But as soon there is just a minor fingerprint or something else dirty on it, it causes problems. Also installing only works when I am offline.

And maybe it only works now because I just hard reset it. What happens when the xbox gets full again?

I am worried that if I send this Xbox, they will test it, and it will work because they use a very new disc.

And that I get it returned, still having the same problem.

What is your advice? Is there a way that the repairman sees this information??
