Install went backwards

At 2pm after 5 hours of installing I was at 50%. I go in play a few campaign missions for something to do exit the game around 4pm and the install is back down to 43%.

Xbox One Refuses To Read Red Dead Redemption

I kept power cycling until the disc went from reading RDR as "insert a disc" to "install disc", for some reason backwards comp users have issues catching the required update download for backwards comp when using the disc version of a game, it should work
as soon as the disc is read as install instead of insert though, just click on it when it says install, and it'll mention the update.

The game is not backwards compatible yet. Once it becomes backwards compatible, it'll show in your "Ready to Install" list.

Double check the backwards compatibility list to make sure the game is compatible. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/available-games

Also double check http://account.microsoft.com to make sure the transaction went through.

If both of those show you bought the game and it is indeed compatible, check under Ready to Install in your Games and Apps or search for the game on the console and you should be able to install it from there.
