    Install options wont let me choose the right hard drive


    I have a PC where I have a small SSD labeled (C) that is mostly school applications and I have a large hard drive labeled (D) where all of my games are stored.

    Each time I try to install a game to the hard drive through the Xbox app it wont give me the option to choose my (D) drive. I have tried to change the default install drive to my (D) drive but it keeps switching back to (C)

    How can I fix this?

    First check if the D drive is formatted to NTFS and not ExFAT. If it is ExFAT, you'll have to reformat it to the former in order to proceed.

    How do I play from hard drive after the update?

    Just start the game. You don't have to choose a "play from hard drive option". Once a game is installed it will automatically play from the hard drive no matter how you start it.
