    Install on a different drive than C:


    Hi, I've been trying to install Halo Master Chief collection on my pc but microsoft store insists on installing the game in the SSD instead of the D: drive which I use it to install games or just as storage.

    Funny thing is that any other game from the Microsoft Store gaves me the option to select the unit to install the game but no Halo MCC.

    Is that new user an administrator?

    If not, please change the privileges.

    By the way, do you have the games installed on a different drive?

    (For example, D, F, E. any letter different than C)

    If that's the case, could you try installing the game directly to C: drive

    Louis, are the affected games installed on a drive different from the system C: drive?

    If that's correct, can you try re-installing one of the affected games on the C: drive?

    Are you installing to a different drive from your primary drive? One thing I learnt is if that's the case, you need to first free up space on the primary drive (C) that would be more than enough to accommodate the game before proceeding to install on any secondary drive.

    I had this when I first tried it. Turns out the Game-Pass version just doesn't like being installed on any drive other than the C:\ drive. Do you have the game installed on another drive than C:\?
