Insider Hub Update Fried My Controller

I have enrolled myself for the xbox insider hub update preview

So shall i cancel insider hub update preview services ?

Will that completely solve the problem ?

Have you taken a look at the Troubleshoot issues with an Xbox Wireless Controller support page?

Also it is worth asking are you a member of the Xbox Insider System Update previews? You would have signed up via the Xbox
Insider Hub app if you are not sure.

Had the same problem, ended up been the way I was charging my controllers I went through 3 controls seems to of fried inside of my controller I'm not sure if this is same problem you have, but jus try a new charging port if this is what you are using

Hi I'm Peter an independent advisor, glad to hear you want to try out the insider hub. Anyone can register, you need to install the xbox insider hub first of all on either the PC or Xbox One:

Xbox One

Move over to the Store tab on the dashboard or select Store in the guide.

Choose Search.

Enter insider in the box, then select Xbox Insider Hub.

Select Get or Install.

On Windows 10

The Xbox Insider Hub can be installed from Microsoft Store on your Windows 10 PC.

Press the Start button, type store, then select Microsoft Store.

Select Search, enter insider in the box, then select Xbox Insider Hub.

Select Get or Install.

To sign in for the first time (use your gamer tag):

If you weren’t part of the old Xbox Preview Program, you’ll want to search the store for the Xbox Insider Hub. If you were, however, take a look in the updates section of My Games & Apps to update to the Insider Hub.

Accept the terms and conditions after opening up the Xbox Insider Hub

On the main screen for the Insider Hub, go to Insider Content section and select the Xbox One Update Preview section

Simply press the join button on the next page, and you’re in! Just keep in mind that it will take up to 72 hours to start getting preview updates.

An Xbox One Wireless Controller purchased in or after June 2015 can take updates wirelessly without connecting via USB cable. This controller has a small, circular 3.5-mm port on the bottom of the controller; controllers without this port must update
via USB cable.

While a USB cord is not needed for those controllers, we have seen cases where a USB cord helps prompt the update for the controller. For now, you should also

report this issue through the insider hub, as well as to the

insider reddit. Since your console is enrolled in the insider program, it is possible that you are experiencing a bug that would need to be reported in order to be looked into. You may also find other users experiencing
the same issue.
