Input issue with Xbox One controller

My Xbox One controller is having issues with input. It's doubling its input, like each time I press a button or move the sticks that I'm doing it twice, and the right stick periodically & randomly starts gradually inputting Up. When I'm in a menu and use either the left stick or directional buttons, it rapidly moves through the menu items instead of one item at a time. When I'm playing a game, it randomly decides to make the camera 'look up'.

I use it on both Xbox & PC and can confirm the issue is consistent. I have tried updating it with the Accessories app on the Xbox, and updated my PC drivers. Neither worked to solve the issue.

Have you tried to check the controller test on the Xbox Accessories App?

Press the Xbox Guide Button > Settings > Devices & Connections > Controllers & Headsets > Enter Test Mode (Click on the Conical/Lab Flask Icon beside the three dots ...).

See if any button or analog is being pressed/moved on its own.

If it's damaged, and your controller is still under warranty, please, submit a repair request.

Try a different cable or port or connect to another device. If you have verified that the cable and port work, and the controller does not work when plugged in, you should replace the controller (see "Replace the controller" below).

Hey there NEOWAT14,

The Xbox One and Xbox One S controllers should be able to be used with docking stations. They use the same type of USB input and the controller is the same size and form factor. You shouldn't have any issue using a dock with the controllers.
