Injustice Gods Among Us on XBox Series X not working properly

I am trying to play Injustice Gods Among Us, a 360 game, on my Series X. This is a digital version of the game, not a disc. I have had this game for months and it has worked without problems but now that is not the case. The game loads fine, but once I get into a fight in the game, the ABXY and shoulder buttons don't work. Only the control stick works. The buttons work fine in the menu before getting into a match, but not in the actual fights. The controller works fine in other games, and I tried using my other controller and it still didn't work.

I have reset my console multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times, and power cycled the console. Nothing has worked. If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Let's restore your controller to its original configuration.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select My games & apps > See all > Apps, and then choose Xbox Accessories.
Select your controller in the app and choose Configure. Choose a profile, and then select Edit > Restore to default. This returns your controller to its original factory configuration.
