    Initial Update Installation Problems with Dead Rising 3


    So I just received my copy of DR3 today and popped it into the Xbox One. A notification then pops up telling me I need to download an update. The initial update goes well, increasing by 1% by about every 30 seconds. Then around 42%, the installation slows
    completely down and only goes up by 1% to 43% within about ONE HOUR. To see if it was my connection, I reset everything. I even held down the Xbox One power button for ten seconds to see if this would help as well. However, nothing is helping. I even uninstalled
    what had downloaded and tried again. It keeps stopping at 42% and barely increases or stalls around this percentage. To make matters worse, it keeps switching from installing to queueing every few minutes. Has anyone else had this problem? What can I try to
    fix this? Thanks in advance!

    Works a treat with Dead Rising 3.

    I'm sorry to hear about the installation issue you've been experiencing. Lets try out some troubleshooting steps to see if we can get things sorted.

    I would suggest first installing the Dead Rising 3 disc offline (Completely disconnected from Xbox Live). To perform this, follow the steps in this

    troubleshooting Xbox Support article    . This way you can install the game first with no new updates from Xbox Live interfering.

    After you install the game, restart your Xbox One console, reconnect to Xbox Live, and try downloading the updates.

    Try that out and let us know how it goes!

    Dead rising 3 wont fully install....

    Next time the install stops, go to Dead Rising 3 on the marketplace and click install from there. Should solve your problem

    Dead Rising 3 has a 13gb update before it installs the game onto the hard drive. That could explain why it took so long to install DR3...
