    Hello, I

    would like to know if microsoft has an initial installation software for

    the xbox one system to exchange the HD, I say this because I own a PS4,

    and after releasing 3 screws I have access to the HD compartment of the

    PS4, and the sony provides on its website the updat or

    default installation file of the console, with that I was able to change

    the 500gb HD to an internal 5TB, I went to do the same with xbox one,

    it took me a lot to get access to HD, but I had and I used it I've

    been trying to change the hard drive, I have a lot of games and I do

    not know how to spend all my time downloading the games from the store.

    It consumes me a lot. time and external HD for me is not an option, I have children at home.

    ahh ok, well you can also see a record of the updates from
    support.xbox.com/.../system-update-operating-system     there it will tell you the latest operating system version and if you go to your xbox one under "settings" then "system" and then "console info" it will tell you the operating system version which should
    match the latest from that website, otherwise you're yet to update.

    The short answer is: no, there isn't a downloadable version of the OS because the xbox HDD should not be removed/changed.

    totally different operating systems. The Xbox One needs an emulator to play the games and therefore you have to download them onto the Xbox One via backwards compatability in the ready to install section. If you have a disk of a game that is backwards

    It needs a full reset because the preview is using an entirely different operating system from the old one. The old operating system needs to be re-installed.

    I understand your frustration here, but let me try to explain.

    Your Xbox One console in many ways is like a PC. Its Operating System is installed on to the hard drive. When updates fail to install to the Xbox One, the usual failure is with the hard drive and a corrupted/damaged Operating system.

    Since the Xbox One hard drive is not user replaceable and the Xbox One OS being far more complex than the Operating System of the Xbox 360, the only recourse is to contact Microsoft for a repair.

    This wouldn't be considered a 'not fit for purpose' fault under British consumer law and it's not a 'sabotage' attempt on behalf of Microsoft.
