I have here steps that we can try, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

"1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​"

If that didn't work you may need to uninstall and reinstall the game.

Thank you for contacting the Xbox Support forums. I understand that your Forza Horizon 5 is stuck in an infinite loading screen. By chance, have you encountered any crashes for the game while it loads? Are you able to see the title screen before the infinite load happens?

If you're able to access your game settings, please attempt to turn on VSync under your visual settings and also attempt to maximize your framerate settings. If you are still experiencing the same error, please do not hesitate to respond back to this forum post.

The game doesn't prevent me from going to the home screen or freezes it just sticks on the background. The main menu to launch the game won't load.

Actually, the announcement mentioned "infinite loading" but I believe this is different from the missing count-down clock in the lobby, at least on the screen it is. When Ubisoft mentions infinite loading, I think they're referring to instances where
you see the word "Loading" on your screen and nothing happens. The missing count-down clock in the lobby is when you're in the lobby with all the other players on screen waiting for the match to begin and there's no timer in the bottom right-hand corner of
the screen. Some guys on the Ubisoft forum say the lag is better after the server maintenance and some say nothing's changed. I hope it's the former. There's been no mention of the infinite loading and missing countdown clock issues that I've seen.

The game won't load for me , just stuck at the title screen.
