Incredibly slow download speeds on Xbox for PC (SOLUTION)

There are dozens of identical posts with no clear solution, dating back years where people with perfectly fine PC's and very fast hardwired internet connections get less than 10mbps download speeds.. Every single response from Microsoft consists of copy pasted generic fixes that nearly everyone tries before resorting to the desperation tactic of making one of these posts. The person experiencing the problem gets frustrated and stops replying, and Microsoft tags the issue as fixed and pats themselves on the back for a job successfully avoided. Among the community there are frequently quoted fixes that all entail disabling your security to some degree, none of which seem to actually work. 2024 is 3 weeks away, and soon this problem with be at least 5 years old. So, in light of these many considerations, the unreasonable length of time the problem has existed, and the flat out refusal by Microsoft to do anything about it, I have struck upon the final solution. If you're reading this in 2024, just cancel your subscription. That is the only solution. Steam, Epic, GOG, none of these require subscriptions, all of them have the basic functionality we expect from PC gaming services. It's hard to let go of an account you've committed to for a long time, but when the entity you've been with for so long fails to provide the service you pay monthly for, steadily lowering in quality for years with no attempt to do better, this is the only recourse.

Is there any way you could hook up directly with a either net cable , directly from router to xbox see what speeds you get .

There has been others with the same issues, could be xbox servers 👍

There was a service alert earlier today, but if it was happening before then it could be the Xbox itself starting to get ware and tear.

Did you perhaps move the Xbox to a different area of your house/apartment?
