    Incorrectly labeled FPS boost in the store


    In the store, it says that Far Cry 3 Classic Edition has an fps boost compatibility option, and that the original Far Cry 3 does not. I have purchased the Classic Edition in the anthology bundle thinking this was the case, but it is not. I've read online that it was actually the 360 version that has fps boost and not the ce. I do have a suggestion to mitigate this issue. Open up FPS boost to all titles in the store. By this I mean games that don't have the option, make it to where you can force the option and give a warning to the end user that tells them it may cause issues. I wouldn't be surprised if this allowed a lot of non boosted titles to run at 60 fps because all its doing is removing the 30fps cap

    Hi Pizzavessel14, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    According to Microsoft "As our backward compatibility catalogue grows, so do the number of ways you can enhance the visual quality of your past-gen games on your Xbox Series X|S console."

    As of the moment we just need to wait for further updates because there is no guarantee yet if the game will have the feature along with if the game will be optimized for Xbox Series X|S consoles. I have to make sure to validate on the official site which is https://news.xbox.com and majornelson.com and no news yet for the game.

    The leak in question was an error on the part of Microsoft...they incorrectly listed is as X/S in a blog Post about an Update to the UI:

    "This article has been updated to feature a new hero image, as the original mock up incorrectly listed an Xbox Series X|S Optimized version of “Batman: Arkham Knight.” “Batman: Arkham Knight” is available for players on Xbox Series X|S only via backwards compatibility."

    Hi,

    Pretty sure you don't have to 'turn it on', it just runs at 120fps now from the get go. The same is true for Far Cry 3, Watchdogs 2 and Sniper Elite 4. These games were 30 fps on base Xbox and One X, but now run at 60fps on Series hardware without the user needing to change anything.
