Discus and support Incorrect and Weird Gamepad Mapping in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Hello, really wierd issue happening to my controller(s).     Hello, really wierd issue happening to my controller(s). I'm using xbox one s gamepad on my PC almost for 2 years. It was fine until last week. But now; the X button is recognized as the A button, A is recognized as B, and B as Y. All buttons are wrong except for the analogs

    1- I'm using the gamepad via bluetooth receiver. It's totally fine with wired. This issue only happening via BT.

    2- I've tried reset the BT receiver/gamepad, forgetting BT via Windows settings and install again. Nothing changed

    3- This issue happened The Crew 2 and NFS Unbound games. AC Valhalla and Spider-Man is fine. I did not try another game

    4- This issue also happened with my Stadia controller but it's happening even with WIRED
    5- I can't change the layout via in-game settings because the games even not recognize the triggers at all(via bluetooh).

    6- In Windows xbox gamepad settings, gamepad looks like totally fine. All buttons are right. Triggers works and all normal. Also I've tried online gamepad-tester websites, all buttons looks like normal via bluetooh and wired. This problem only happening in the games.

    7- For NFS Unbound, I just did alt-tab and open the desktop, I realized that gamepad still controlling the game and issue fixed for that moment. (Triggers working etc) Alt-tab again, and issue happening again. So, if the game is in the background; gamepad is turning to normal

    8- I've tried fulscreen/borderless modes in the games. Nothing changed

    Well, I deleted all of it and re-install but still same. Also updated Windows except optional updates. Nothing change so far. But I've tried Steam controller input xbox support again, restarted PC and now gamepad is okay with Steam games. Seems like Steam input overwrites that messed up mapping but of course this is not a permanent solution, just a way around. Issue is still happening with Ubisoft games.

    I'm curious; why some games are okay but some are not? I think, just a theory, some games are using their own gamepad layout settings and some of are using Windows layout. And issue is related Windows' gamepad layout. If the game uses its own controller file (maybe in the game directory?), it's okay but if it uses Windows file(in system32 folder maybe?) then issue happening. What kinda file that Windows uses for controller settings. dll? directx?

    Hi, I think that the issue is the adapter and not Windows.
    I prefer to not advise modifying the registry keys or modifying the system files . This can lead to other problems.

    If you can, please try:
    A. Use a different Bluetooth adapter in your PC
    B. Try using the controller with a PC with a built-in Bluetooth card and check if the issue persist inside the games affected

    Hi, thanks for the extra information
    I personally don’t think that’s an issue with Windows, could be that your Bluetooth adapter received an update recently.

    But let’s try to cover everything from the Windows side:

    A. Reinstall your controller driver:
    Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager > search something like Xbox controller category (or similar) > expand the category using the little arrow (">") > select delete/uninstall driver

    Click OK, restart your PC and reconnect the controller.

    B. Reinstall / update the Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator driver.

    You can do it following previous steps, but now select Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator.

    Can take a while, would be great to wait up to 15 minutes before trying again

    C. Try uninstalling the most recent windows update, just in case it is the one that is causing conflicts

    D. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily
    Restart the PC and try again

    E. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again

    But you missed a point, if the BT adapter causing this, then why the Stadia Controller has the same issue with wired?

    I think there is no point of trying another PC with a built-in BT card. This is about my PC, of course there will not any issue with whole different PC. What is the point? Unless if my 2 different gamepad broken somehow in the same time, there is no relation. But; I've tried my old BT 4.0 adapter. Still same.

    I can advise you three more things if you think that’s an issue with the current Windows version in your PC, feel free to test each one:

    1. Run the SFC tool to find and repair possible system corruptions
