the problem was related to my router. My router is from AVM and there is an official guide to this problem:

"If the application can only be used with the Teredo protocol, disable the Teredo filter in the FRITZ! Box:

1. Click "Internet" in the FRITZ! Box user interface.

2. Click "Filters" in the "Internet" menu.

3. Click on the "Lists" tab.

4. Disable the option "Teredo filter enabled". If the option is not

displayed, enable the Advanced View first.

5. Click "Apply" to save the settings."

(Source) This option is enabled by default.

I found a Reddit article which might be worth trying.

Go to your Fritz! Box settings through a browser, click/tap on Internet -> Filters -> Lists Once there, deactivate the "Teredo Filter active" box. Click/tap on "Confirm" at the bottom of the screen afterwards.

Now try the "Test Multiplayer connection" setting again and redo a NAT type check afterwards. It should have gone from strict/moderate to open now

I have noticed there is a newer Firmware for the 7390 listed, but it is German ... would this be ok for an Australian Fritz?

I recommend to try Clearing the Mac addresses on the Xbox.

I get an error message when I run the ‘Test network connection’ on Xbox One.

Try this:

• Select Settings on the Xbox
  
• Select Network
  
• Select Network Settings
  
• Select Advance Settings
  
• Alternate Mac address
  
• Select Clear
  
• Select Restart
  

This step will restart the console. When it reboots, Select Network >Select Network Settings > Set up wireless network.

Try this out and let us know the results.
