    Incapable of playing a Xbox 360 game online on my Xbox One


    So basically my issue is the following:

    I’ve got an Xbox One Elite, and recently I’ve returned to CoD BO2, because of the compatibility with Xbox 360. But the issue I'm finding is that after 5-10 minutes of playing it connected to Xbox live, a message pops up saying ’Disconnected from Xbox
    Live’. But my console remains connected to internet, this only occurs while playing BO2, as while playing any Xbox one version of a game, it won't disconnect randomly. This obligates me to only play in local so I don't get thrown off the game, which isn't
    cool :/. I was hoping for a solution.

    If you are playing an Xbox 360 game through the Xbox One's backward compatibility feature, you are able to play it online.

    While playing the Xbox 360 game online, players on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles would populate the same servers and lobbies.

    As a sidenote, the Xbox 360 version of GTA V is currently NOT backward compatible with the Xbox One.

    How could Microsoft get Xbox one so wrong

    I would like to remind you that at launch the Xbox 360 was capable of pulling media from a PC. Something that over six months later the Xbox One is incapable of doing.

    Did the USB storage update allow you to play media from a external drive now or is it just for Xbox storage.

    I find it increasingly bizarre that as a media machine, something Microsoft are keen to push, the Xbox One lags behind both the Xbox 360 and PS3.

    For example, my cousin plays on the Xbox one s and my brother plays on the original Xbox one. Will I be able to play online with them?
    Yes, absolutely. You can also play BC 360 games with users who are still playing on Xbox 360.

    All Xbox One games (but not kinect games) will work on on Xbox Series X/S and you can play these games with others even if they haven't yet bought the latest console.
