    In the future we should be able to make game clips into our dynamic backgrounds.


    I captured an absolutely stunning clip of the sun setting in sea of thieves, I was hoping I could make it a dynamic background only to find out I couldn’t. I think this would make a great addition to Xbox. Thoughts?

    Dynamic Background?

    At this time, dynamic backgrounds are only available on the Series S/X and can't be customized. If the video you saw was done on a One, then the person doing it is doing something that violates the terms of service.

    If you are on a Series S/X, when you go to settings and change your background, there's a section for dynamic backgrounds.

    Unfortunately, there's no way to create or add dynamic backgrounds to Xbox yet. The only ones available are the ones Microsoft add. But it would be very nice to be able to create or buy dynamic backgrounds.

    20th anniversary dynamic background for xbox one X

    I do not have the 20th-anniversary controller, so I can't speak to the specifics of that background, however, it is a shame that we cannot have dynamic backgrounds of all games (some of which are included with the purchase of gold/ultimate/deluxe/etc. editions of games) as the PS has done for almost a decade.
