In game latency is bad but internet is good?

Well the multiplayer test is to the login server

But when you actually play you gotta remember you need to connwct ro your host who probably isnt neae the login server

Thwre isnt anyway to test it till you actually connect to them

• What type of internet connection are using with the Xbox? Wired or Wireless? (Wired connections will typically give you the best result).
  
• Do you have other devices running on your network? IE) Computers, Phones, TVs, etc? Reducing the number of devices on your network will help increase the performance.
• What's the refresh rate on your monitor/tv?
• Are other users experiencing the same latency/lag issue as you? Checking a games forums will help identify if the server is experiencing common lag errors or down-time.
• What type of NAT do you have? (Open is preferred).

I only have limited experience in networking, but it could be something server side. I know distance to the server, amount of traffic, and a slew of other things can have an effect on connectivity. It can also be how you’re connected (wifi vs hardwire,)
something on your ISPs end, and many other things interfering. I’ll get the same kind of issues sometimes and I just chalk it up to my internet being spotty from old hardware in my apartment complex.

This sounds more like server side than your connection.

What MP games are they?

Are they all popular?

Have you tried playing them at different times of the day/night?

it seems to be most if not all games so I don't think it's a server distance problem. It's only sprung up since last week is the weird thing.
