In-game keyboard disappearing

on the occasion, whenever I'm trying to write in the game chat, the virtual keyboard won't come up on screen. It annoys me because even force quitting and restarting doesn't work--I have to do a full power cycle.

Sometimes it will start working and then stop. I have no external devices connected to my Xbox and if I use smartglass, it doesn't come up there either.

Let's see... Disappearing peacekeepers, disappearing digital camos, now disappearing attachments. I kind of expect this stuff to happen with a Treyarch game.

I was experiencing the same issue when typing with my controller or using Smartglass. I do not, however, experience this issue when I use the Chatpad.

Have you tried to submit a ticket to Official ESO Support? They are very responsive when I've reached out to them in the past: Support | The Elder Scrolls Online

Hello there, I would like to confirm. The issue disappears when you select a different keyboard layout?

Yes, I just posted a question in the Xbox community about the keyboard and left some Edge feedback for the tab reloading and mouse disappearing.

Hey same problem here with Wolfenstein, with or without keyboard. Also tried the xbox 360 controller but nothing happend when i press start/enter, just a grey square that disappeared

Jeebuz, finally got this and it's totally not intuitive.

Hit B to make the keyboard disappear
use the arrow keys and A button to select the checkbox (which is now selectable)
move off the checkbox
Hit X to make the keyboard appear again

I was literally connecting to so I could just complain.
